Background

FarrPoint was commissioned to carry out an independent evaluation of a six-month pilot project at Langvout Court, a retirement housing development in South Lanarkshire, Scotland. The project, delivered by (this will open in a new window)Archangel in partnership with (this will open in a new window)Bield Housing and Care and the (this will open in a new window)Digital Health & Care Innovation Centre (DHI), tested the use of unobtrusive smart sensors to monitor building and resident wellbeing. The aim was to understand how technology could improve safety, reduce costs, and support more connected, sustainable retirement housing across Scotland.
